Please don't be discouraged by the lack of response.  It could be that 
nobody can help you with the problems you describe, but it doesn't mean 
nobody is reading your messages (I am, for one ;-).  It might be that,
as you gain insight into the nature of your problems, somebody will be 
able to help you.  Even if nobody helps you, please consider posting 
everything you have learned, especially if you succeed in compiling the 
package, since this information might be invaluable to other users in the 
future (provided they do The Right Thing and search the DJGPP archives).
