ld is ok, but it's complaining about a bad file name RHIDE gave it.

From my Mini-FAQ:

Q: When I try to compile a C++ program, I get
  Error: C:/dgjpp/bin/ld.exe: cannot open -lstdcx: No such file or directory
(ENOENT)
A: RHIDE has a bug that causes it to think libstdcxx.a is named libstdcx.a;
it's related to long file name problems. See the DJGPP FAQ, section 8.7, for
a fix.
