DOS simply writes to the printer port (a parallel port, most likely). 
What you output to that port controls the printer.  Different brands of
printers understands different control commands.

So your best bet is to find the manual of your printer, and figure out
what command will invoke the functionality that you are looking for.

For example, my Panasonic KX-P2123 manual if full of BASIC programs that
allows the printer do different kind of things (changing fonts, point
sizes, orientation, and printing graphics).
