I'd just like to say, since you haven't had much support for the idea, that
I completely agree with what you are trying to do. I, too, *like* DOS, not
least because of its fast loading time.
But also, when people suggest things like Linux, my point would be that with
DOS, it is easy to load Windows when necessary, by just typing WIN, then
exiting windows afterwards, and be back in DOS. To do that with Linux or any
other operating system would require a reboot and so on.
