The new WIP version (3.925) of Allegro builds on M$ Visual C++,
DJGPP, Linux gcc, etc. If your program uses Allegro for its
graphics and sound calls, it should be very portable. Try three
lines of conditional compilation (#ifdef) per platform. And this is
only to load different operating systems' graphics drivers (VESA,
DirectDraw, etc.)

Use Allegro. It's the best portable graphics library I've seen. But
could someone work on a Mac port?
