I suggest the Make manual.  Type "info make makefiles" from the DOS
prompt and read there.

The GNU project dislikes #pragma's, so it is not used for anything
important.  Perhaps if you asked specific questions about what
features do you expect to be available with #pragma's, you could get
replies about how to achieve the same effect with GCC.
