1) If the new kernel supports DPMI applications at all (such as NT does)
you will still be able to run DJGPP applications.
2) If the new kernel does not support DPMI or is too crippled to support
DJGPP there are lots of older systems out there.
3) If the new kernel is crippled, the incentive to build dual-mode DPMI/Win32
applications will finally exist. If someone is willing to work on it you
get the answer to "where is DJGPP going?"

I personally think the idea of a libc/loader re-write to be Win32 and DJGPP
capable in the same image is a cool idea...

I've been using the NT kernel for about 6 years now - and I can say that the
NT command line has lots of nice features the Win9x version doesn't have -
so don't worry too much :-)
