I've just had cause to look in my manifest sub-dir, in order to tell a
friend which components to install, and noticed my freshly installed
gcc295b/gpp259b .ver files say :-

gcc295snap.zip : EGCS-19990602 (gcc-2.95 prerelease) : GNU C compiler (binaries)
gpp295snap.zip : EGCS-19990602 (gcc-2.95 prerelease) : GNU C++ compiler (binarie

I got these on the 15th from what I think (hope) is an official mirror
    ftp.demon.co.uk/pub/mirrors/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp/v2gnu/

I'm not experiencing any problems, but should I be looking for a later
(official/non-EGCS) version? Or is this just an oversight in the
manifest files?
