RHIDE had been working fine on this machine for years.

I install software all the time, I installed a new version of
ntXEmacs/Netscape4.6/QuickTime4/CuteFTP/gcc2.95/gpp2.95/WindowsMediaplayer6.1/...
I know that it must be a Windows related problem because it workes fine in DOS.
I've tried running it without any other programs running (Except Explorer & Rundll)
and it still crashes.

It freezes immediately when I type "rhide<RET>" in command.com or bash. I do
not believe that running sub programs is the problem.

It turns out that it has nothing to do with the DJGPP variable, but the DJDIR
variable. If I point DJGPP to a non-existant file, RHIDE does not crash, but it is
not djgpp.env that is crashing rhide.exe. I know this because if I unset DJGPP,
and then manually set DJDIR to point to ANYTHING (valid or not), it crashes
immediately when I run it. The "GPR2MAK.exe" program also crashes in the exact
same way under all the mentioned scenarios. But, no other program (DJGPP or not)
is having this symptom.

It hanges when it starts, I only mentioned that because I was desparate.
Looking back, there is no way that info would help, but better to give too much
info than not enough.
