It's an integrated developer's environment program specifically for DJGPP.
It's used to edit sources, manage multiple file projects, debug programs,
ect.

Yes. It saves you the trouble of having to invoke gcc manually. It does
syntax highlighting. It can point you to the exact line if you get a warning
or an error. It has an integrated debugger and info viewer. RHIDE is great.
