well, i just spent 20 bux on the book and i can't
do the hello world either, pretty pissy...

setdjpp (which i happened to find just before i
read that post) just sets set DJGPP=%2/djgpp.env
....... that's just setting a .env file in the
autoexec.bat file...

and the install that came with the cd did that for
us... also, the install does ask one curious
question, that went something like : do you want
to run programs made by djgpp or do you want to
compile and run programs by djgpp.. i had no idea
what that meant (it was more confusing, what i
wrote there was my interpretation)... however,
i've done two installs now with both and neither
work.. i've made a path= addition to where the
file is and still get an error. i can't find this
problem anywhere else. it's really bugging me
cause it's probably something stupid on my part.
anyhow, i have the same *exact* problem as the guy
below...

if anyone knows, help would be greatly appreciated

jc
