If you have problems under windows and want to try it under pure DOS, you
can press F8 while booting, after the BIOS messages. Press it several times
to make sure windows won't start loading. A menu will popup then. Select
command prompt only (if it is available). Then type smartdrv to load the
disk cache program and try to compile it. I hope this helps.
