I have a 486, not for long anymore. But I found compiling from Windows DOS
mode is faster than pure DOS. I don't know why, but I think It manages
memory or something better because I can tell that it works alot harder in
DOS but Windows seems to be more efficient. It took me about 30-40 minutes
on 486DX2 66 8megs of Ramt to compile Allegro... I also have some advice
for people with slow computers is I sugest cutting your C files into
smaller seperate chunks (not one function or anything)...I think that was
pretty obvious though...
