DJGPP programs cannot run without DPMI services. I suggested to try
disabling DPMI because some versions of DRDOS had bugs in their DPMI
services. When you disable the built-in DPMI services of DRDOS, DJGPP
programs will use the CWSDPMI server provided with DJGPP (it's in the
file misc/csdpmi4b.zip on SImTel.NET mirrors and usually you should
have cwsdpmi.exe in your bin subdirectory).

This is further explained in the FAQ.

It's available as v2/faq211b.zip from the same place you get DJGPP.
