If you are using something like Allegro, which has easy timers &
installation and modification of their timings, this should be
very easy - you can simply adapt one of the Allegro example programs. The
one that demonstrates the timers should almost
be suitable for just "cutting and pasting" with a little modification to do
exactly what you want IMHO.
