I used RHIDE 1.4.7 in a W95 box running the distributed.net client and did not experiment slow downs in the RC5-64 calculation.
Currently I don't boot W95 at work so I can test again.

So looks like the sleep() in the ::idle() member is included in RHIDE 1.4.7 for Linux, so I think it is also in the DOS version.
