    Well, the purpose of the FAQ was to answer YOUR questions.  You don't have
to read the whole FAQ, but you should at least search it for some keywords of
your problem.  If there is some part of the FAQ which you can't understand
"unknown phrases and stuff", please post the exact part of the FAQ that you
don't understand, and you will get help on that.  (and someone might even
change the FAQ to make it easier for beginners to read).
