ok. i got tired of trying to get Rhide to work with long file names and c++,
and
just it's ugly, out-dated look, period. so, i've heard a suggestion here for
pcGrasp,
a programming front-end. while it already looks nice-- like the Borland C++ i
was
taught on-- i have almost no idea how to set it up to DJGPP to compile and run
my
little programs. it looks like the problem is, is that i've been so spoiled i
don't know
the <*gasp*> regular Djgpp command lines! and the thing is, of all the
documents
i've found on DJGPP's website, i can't find the exact answers i'm looking for.

if you can't help me out exactly with pcGrasp, i think i can make do if i'd
just known
what are the command-line syntax look like in DJGPP to:
     compile sources(for Cand C++);
     link objects(C/C++);
     compile and link(C/C++);
     semantic check(whatever that is)(C/C++);
     debugging(C/C++);
     and the make command(C/C++).

granted, once i've known how to do all these, i could just use Notepad and
forget
about the front-ends. but then i'd lose all those purdy colors.

while i'm on the subject, are there any other suggestions for front-ends
besides:
     rhide;
     pcgrasp;
     emacs (unless you can tell me how to set it up for win95/98);
     djgppse;
     and dfe95.

i thank you gratefully.
