This seems to be okay.  Is this really the output of SET, or did you
type it by looking at the screen?  I need to see the actual output, so
redirect it to a file and post that file, if you didn't do that
already.

What does the error message from the compiler say, exactly?

The style of slashes shouldn't matter, so it is normal behavior that
you didn't see any difference.
