OS?! Are you feeling like a diety?:) Uhh... Newsgroups generally have a few hints as to what happens at boottime, how you deal with partitions, memory, all that stuff.. You might want to take a look at linux.. I'ld think its its boot code is public stuff... As to the OS itself, that's up to you, it's silly to be like another.
