Does anyone know how I can get "#" in makefile variable?

Like:

TST=-W -Wall -DINTERFACE=#define

gcc ... $(TST)

Right now, I think it is being interpreted as the beginning of a
comment. The above sets $(TST) as "-W -Wall -DINTERFACE=".
