Please describe the problems you have, it is impossible to help you 
without knowing what doesn't work, exactly, and without knowing what
are the error messages you see on your system.

This is a misunderstanding.  DJGPP is free, you don't have to pay for 
it.  Whoever sold you that book is not the DJGPP project.

We do help people to install DJGPP and use it, but this is done on a 
voluntary basis, not for a fee.  People who read messages you post don't 
get a dime out of your purchase.
