although, I think I just read on the ecgs site that namespaces are
implemented in a funky, fake sort of way.  I think the next major
release of GCC will implement them properly, as well as some other
updates (like more efficiency).

If anyone knows of a list of where GCC is not compliant I would
appreciate it.  Eli had a suggestion about the docs that come with the
.zip file, but I had no luck there.
