It is a higher level wrapper for show_mouse(NULL), that only hides the mouse if that is really required, ie. if the mouse is visible, and you don't have a hardware cursor. It also maintains a state stack, so that unscare_mouse() can put things back to the way they were at the end of your drawing code. Shawn Hargreaves.
