How in the world do you expect us to help you without seeing the 
offending line in your AUTOEXEC.BAT?  You have probably typed something 
incorrectly there, but you need to show us the line which sets PATH
before we can help.

DJGPP programs work in both modes.  You don't need to reboot.  (I believe 
this is explained in the docs.)
