Do not attach .DOC files to usenet messages or emails.  If they are
plain text, use a .TXT extension so windows machines will use Wordpad
or Notepad to open them.  If they are Word documents, change them to
plain text and use the .TXT extension.  I personally will NOT view any
.DOC file attached to a message because of the danger of Word Macro
viruses.
