From the DOS prompt type the following command:

     set > environ.dat

then post here the contents of the file environ.dat created by this
command.  Also, post the contents of your CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT
files.  In addition, add "-v" to the compilation command line,
redirect compiler's stderr stream to a file and post here the contents
of that file.

The above information will certainly allow us to find the cause of
your problems.
