hiya

 sorry for this intrusion on your englishish reading qualities , but i
 really need to find people to help me on this , as i'm not such a c
 coder and that prob. is the language of choice for this as i really
 need the speed

 i tried building my own 3d engine in turbo pascal 7 (asm
 optimized , of course :) but really i could use 3dfx support (try that
 in tp7! :) so , i'm currently thinking of using either the panard vision
 engine , or the allegro djgpp library with some cewl ready made 
 enhancments (like the pre-emptive multitasking addon & the comm
 support for nullmodems )

 read it , and plz reply if you think you're able to do so :)

projects purpose

 to create a program , or a set of programs , to be able to create wicked images , in realtime , in 3d , with general demo effects and more , to be able to manipulate what is displayed in a live-script like fashion , to be able to manipulate this script over a network connection , to be able to use a voodoo1 or a permedia2 for rendering & to be able to sell this program later *g* , well maybe , but the most important thing is , it must be ready on the 5th of may !!! , not final, but at least a visibly correct one .

win32 or linux .. maybe server linux , client win32 , but i don't know to much about linux , just barely got my xwindows , and am now starting to play mp3s with linux :)


project terms (read this to understand the skeleton)

triggers	-	times on which things happen , possibly a beat-detection
			triggers are mappable to targets.

targets	-	actions , things that can be altered on the current object 
			or effect (focus) , properties like : visible , color (pointer to
			a pallette) , transparant? , dunno , we'll see..

objects	-	objects can be a number of things (type) ;
			images(jpg,transparant gif) , 2d shapes(like hexagon 
			shapes , 3d shapes(3ds or something else)
			each type has a different set of targets.
			object can be loaded at runtime , or imported over a
			network. preloading! loading without showing & continous
			rendering! no interrupts or what ever..

effects		-	effects that apply to the hole screen , to the current object
			, or on the background
			like : blur , motion blur , posterize, solarize , feedback

colors		-	pallettes of colors , preset pallettes of themes or something
			winter , summer , happy , groovy , techno
			maybe some sort of theme texturemapping as well..
