First, be aware that the DJCRX instructions are intended for GCC 2.7.x. 
The GNU gcc dist of 2.8.x doesn't include the latest DJGPP changes, so
you should probably update some of the source files from the DJGPP
sources.

It would probably help to see the command that generated the error (the
previous line).  However, if you don't really need Objective-C, I'd
suggest that you don't build it at all.  Just pass `make' the parameter
"LANGUAGES=c c++" (with the quotes).
