I was in the same situation about a month ago and got Charles Petzold's
"Programming Windows 95" (Microsoft Press). Although designed for Visual C,
I got almost all the sample programmes to run via RSXIDE, with no, or
minimal, tweaking (the exceptions were the property sheet and multithreading
programmes).
