Why did you need to save both the current drive and directory, and 
restore them both, under __DJGPP__?  DJGPP's `getcwd' returns the 
directory including the drive letter, and `chdir' changes the drive as 
well.  These features are there *precisely* so you won't need all those 
#ifdef __MSDOS__ fragments.
