For example DOSEMU-0.99.5 (development version) running under
Linux-2.2.0pre6 was one of the systems where I tested compiling
for DJGPP GNUPLOT-3.7 and met no problems. 

Of course there are things that perhaps never will not NOT work in DOSEMU
(for example __djgpp_nearptr_enable() and applications that uses that)

Perhaps for more stability it would be better to try DOSEMU-0.98.5.
