The gnuplot-3.7.tar.gz does not compile out of the box in DJGPP. I
downloaded it from ftp://ftp.gnuplot.vt.edu/pub/gnuplot. When I run
configure on a Linux box, I can see that DOS/djgpp/libGRX is checked:
==========from Linux==========
......
checking for shmat... yes
checking for IceConnectionNumber in -lICE... yes
checking for MS-DOS/djgpp/libGRX... no
checking for NeXT... no
checking for ANSI C header files... yes
checking for errno.h... yes
......
==========end from Linux==========
However, when I run configure in DJGPP, I get a strange response:
==========from MSDOS/djgpp 2.01==========
loading cache ./config.cache
checking for a BSD compatible install... ./install-sh -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes
checking for working aclocal... found
checking for working autoconf... found
checking for working automake... found
checking for working autoheader... found
checking for working makeinfo... found
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH
==========end from MSDOS/djgpp 2.01==========
The DJGPP executable is available at
ftp://ftp.gnuplot.vt.edu/pub/gnuplot. There are 2 files there, one is
called gp37dj2.zip (772782 bytes), the other one is called gp37djg.zip
(507320 bytes). The bigger file contains HTML documentations while the
smaller file doesn't. They are done by two different person. Both work
without problems
