Another possibility is that the CD-ROM is faulty.  Try to unzip go32-v2 
from djdev directly to your hard disk, and see if that version works 
reliably, and if so, compare it with the file on the CD.

It could also be a hardware problem, like a bad memory chip, or incorrect 
setting of wait states in the CMOS setup.
