No!
1) Alt+F5 is the shortcut for the user screen.
2) You can pass arguments to your program with Run|Arguments.
3) You can redirect stdout and or stderr from inside RHIDE to an RHIDE
window.

That's because you pressed Ctrl+C to kill the program you runned in the DOS
shell.
Try RHIDE 1.4.7 I think that's solved in this release.

No and no ;-). You don't need to use the shell.
