The settings are saved when you save the project in the file
project_name.gpr located in the same directory where you open RHIDE (by
default). On the other hand, to change the default RHIDE settings you have
to modify the options and save a project with the name RHIDE
(rhide.gpr) in the bin directory of the djgpp path .

There is no new project command. You have to use open project with a
non existing project file (the new project one)
