Ok, maybe I was a little vague about not understaning to FAQ. I'm not saying
that the FAQ is unclear. I'm saying that I do not know enough about
programming to understand the information in that section of the FAQ. I'm
fairly new to programming and don't know a whole lot about doing low level
stuff like this. I found some code on the internet and I wanted to get it
working with DJGPP, but it kept complaining about that function because
DJGPP doesn't have the segread() function. Since it was just a few lines of
code, I was hoping someone would just show me how it's done. I've been
reading this newsgroup for a little while now and a few of the people who
post here seem to really know what they were doing. I just wanted some
expert assistance, that's all. It was just a few lines of code and didn't
seem like a big deal to me to just ask for some help on a newsgroup. I'm
sure the FAQ makes perfect sense to someone familiar with that particular
subject.
