But that would mean that people compiling their own little projects who
want them checked fully must do something like:

gcc -c -O -Wall -W -Wfoo -Wbar -Wqux -Wfred -Wbarney -Wpeanuts
-Wgod-only-knows -Wcheese -W......

Not exactly convenient.
