Does gcc run from COMMAND.COM?

How did you set DJGPP?  Was it from the Bash prompt or from 
AUTOEXEC.BAT?  The former case needs a different syntax.

Type "set [Enter]" from inside Bash and make sure the printed
settings include a line which sets the DJGPP variable.
