Please do.  It's time someone set a good example.

My reasons:

1.  My newsreader (trn) doesn't display HTML
2.  I wouldn't want it to even if it did (I read usenet for info,
    not pretty formatting)
3.  HTML bloats posts by 100% or more, which:
    a.  places unnecessary burden on usenet traffic
    b.  costs people money who pay for connectivity by the minute
