Why should Windows care about how much DOS memory does a program need,
and why does it pop this annoying message only when DJGPP programs are
run from a batch file?

Also, another message in this thread seems to indicate that the
PROTECTED option should be unchecked for the problem to go away.  Can
you confirm this?
