assuming the environment and paths are set correctly,

gxx -o junk.exe junk.cpp

is the very simplest command line to produce an executable (junk.exe)
from your source (junk.cpp). gxx, or g++, on Win95 will pick up the
library automatically.

There are many common problems, and these are all treated in depth in
the excellent FAQ that you should have downloaded. Once you have
compiled the canonical 'hello world' , use the info utility and the
included .inf files for further detail on all the packages, the standard
library, and the gcc compiler.
