Most of the classes there are now part of the standard.

String (_string.h) is replaced by string (string)

Vector (_vector) is replaced by valarray.

a vector using the STL is a vector in the computer science sense
(a fixed size random access data structure) rather than in the
mathematical sense, for which we now use valarray.

All of these are covered in Stroustroup.
