The web-page also states:

You need to do TERMINFO=/djgpp/share/terminfo; TERM=ansi; export TERM
   TERMINFO

Does this mean it doesn't work with c:/djgpp, or whatever? What did
you need to do to compile it (Nothing?? If so, I will pick up again my
trying to make it more robust under DOS. (File handling, configure
scripts, maybe even not needing device=ansi.sys))
