The canonical answer: Try various combinations and profile to see their
effect. See also FAQ section 14.2 for some suggestions.

The profiler will show you some of this. See FAQ chapter 13 for info on
using it. There is also a code coverage tool that's part of GCC
(`gcov') but I don't know if anyone has ported it to DJGPP.

You can use RSXNTDJ; see FAQ section 3.6. Beware that it may not be
easy to make work with GCC 2.8.x. However, you can still run DJGPP apps
in a DOS box on Windows; will that not suit?
