There is no `grax8.s' in Allegro.  Either you misremembered, and the 
message is really complaining about `gfx8.s', or your Allegro is 
somehow broken (unlikely).

Please tell us the whole error message, exactly as Make does.  If you
rerun Make now it will carry on where it left off, so it should give
the error almost immediately.
