Hi,
I have a problem with the sound system in Allegro. If I try to use any
program that plays any sound files, they play fine but when I try to exit, my
computer locks up. I was able to narrow this down using Example 28 that came
with Allegro. It played correctly until I tried to exit and then It locked
my computer up. I also have the same problem using Grabber. I was able to
work around this problem with Grabber by disabeling my sound card in hardware
manager. I am using win95 and have a SoundBlaster Pro compatible sound card.
It was purchased in 94 , so its not PnP. I tried shutting my computer down
and restarting in DOS mode but it called for using csdpmi. I tried that but
when I tried to exit grabber the system locked up again. It also didn't
matter weather or not I loaded my sound card in my autoexec file. I tried
removing them and it seems to look to windows for the driver info. But I'm
not sure. Any help with this problem would be apreciated. Thanks
Sean
