Do I understand correctly that *all* PostScript jobs use Ghostscript?  If 
so, that might be a problem with Ghostscript, not with enscript.

On the other hand, if the printer understands PostScript directly, why 
do you use Ghostscript in conjunction with ps-print-buffer?
