Unfortunately, this cannot be decided at configure time, because it is 
not known whether the results will be used to create symlinks to 
executables or to regular files.  If the former, you will want symlinks 
to be used, but if the latter, you won't.  So the way to resolve this 
depends on the package you are porting.

This is another one of those subtle points you need to consider when 
portin to DJGPP.
