a few days ago I started to write a program, and when I linked it, windows
snapped me back to the desktop and gave me an error saying that RHIDE had
performed an illegal operation to colse all programs and restart my computer...
yada yada yada...

I had recently installed borland c++ and I was wondering if that was the
problem... however, borland conveniently installed without leaving an uninstall
program of any kind... there are a lot of system files that it copied to the
windows dir and the windows\system dir... I know that the problem has
something to do with the windows drivers because if I run windows in safe mode
everything is fine. So I assume the problem is with one of those files.

I deleted all of the files that the borland said it copied to the windows
directory and removed the references to them in system.ini and win.ini and the
problem STILL persists! Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.
